Work on Parkside site in Doncaster complete
Work to build two new warehouses on the Parkside Business Park in Doncaster has been completed.
Construction company Lindum has reached practical completion of the units, which are being developed by regeneration specialist St Modwen.
They offer 61,000 sq ft of industrial space across the two buildings, which can be split to provide flexible warehouse options from 10,709 sq ft to 31,876 sq ft.
The units form the second phase of development at the 27acre site off Wheatley Hall
Road, one of the main arterial routes into Doncaster, close to the M18 motorway and just eight miles from Doncaster airport.
St Modwen launched the first phase of the site in 2016 comprising circa 78,000 sq ft of accommodation, which are now both let to leading German businesses.
Bosch Automotive is now operating its flagship automotive technology training facility in one of the units and the other unit is DB Schenker’s northern hub for servicing the Hitachi trains on the East Coast mainline.
A planning application for the third and final phase of the flagship development in Doncaster was granted in September. The application is for more than 108,000 sq ft of industrial space across three buildings, and once constructed will complete the 247,000 sq ft development which was granted outline consent in March 2016.
Rob Richardson, inset, senior development manager at St Modwen, said: “This is a major step forward in the overall development of this strategic site for St Modwen.
“The first phase at Parkside Business Park has proven to be a great success with two great tenants which have brought jobs and investment to Doncaster.”
