Dry-stone walling given a makeover
A HARROGATE bricklayerturned-sculptor has taken the Yorkshire tradition of dry-stone walling to a new height.
Johnny Clasper has completed his first organic free-form wall.
The stonemason and professional member of the Yorkshire Dry-stone Walling Guild said it was part of his mission to reinvent the art of dry-stone walling and turn it into an art form worthy of its own exhibition spaces.
The former bricklayer will feature his handywork in an exhibition at Thorp Perrow, the Woodland Garden, in Bedale, later this month.
