LEEDS film pro­duc­tion com­pany Hu­man Film con­tin­ues to im­press.

This week the Iraqi par­lia­ment was treated to a screen­ing of the com­pany’s film Son of Baby­lon – and the re­ac­tion to the film led to a par­lia­men­tary dis­cus­sion of chang­ing Iraq’s miss­ing per­son’s laws.

The mul­ti­ple award-win­ning film, from writer-di­rec­tor Mo­hamed Al-Daradji, tells the story of a boy search­ing for his miss­ing fa­ther in Iraq. Head of Par­lia­ment Osama Na­jifi viewed the film along­side key MP’s in­clud­ing Dr Ayad Allawi.
