Film that could change the law
LEEDS film production company Human Film continues to impress.
This week the Iraqi parliament was treated to a screening of the company’s film Son of Babylon – and the reaction to the film led to a parliamentary discussion of changing Iraq’s missing person’s laws.
The multiple award-winning film, from writer-director Mohamed Al-Daradji, tells the story of a boy searching for his missing father in Iraq. Head of Parliament Osama Najifi viewed the film alongside key MP’s including Dr Ayad Allawi.
