Cartoonist’s work goes on display
AN exhibition of work by a Private Eye cartoonist is currently on display at York City Screen. Mike Barfield has been contributing the Apparently... cartoon to the magazine since 1996 and to mark 50 years of Private Eye, the Yorkshire artist, who lives in Helperby, has launched his own tribute to the satirical journal. The exhibition runs until November 4, but from 1pm this Sunday Mike will be in the Sky gallery, just off Coney Street, to answer questions about his work and career. Selected prints will also be available to buy.
