Ter­ence Rattigan’s ro­man­tic re­vival

A ro­man­tic com­edy by Ter­ence Rattigan, which lay un­per­formed for 65 years is to take to the stage of York Theatre Royal. Writ­ten in 1944, Less Than Kind had a slightly trou­bled be­gin­ning and af­ter var­i­ous rewrites was aban­donned. How­ever, when the orig­i­nal script was re­dis­cov­ered the play was re­vived two years ago and now a tour­ing pro­duc­tion star­ring Sue Hold­er­ness, best known for play­ing Mar­lene in Only Fools and Horses, will be at the York theatre from June 11 to 15.
