A THEATRE OF HITS AND MYTH
KNEEHIGH Theatre was founded in 1980 by Mike Shepherd.
Its earliest productions were performed in village halls, marquees, cliff tops and quarries.
Their productions are often based around myths, legends, fairytales and folk stories such as the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale The Red Shoes. Other productions include The Bacchae, The Wooden Frock, The Wild Bride and the Cornish legend Tristan and Yseult.
The company incorporate various theatrical elements into their shows including puppetry, dance, live music and an emphasis on visual imagery.
