Film­maker turned de­but nov­el­ist

RENOWNED film­maker Tony Klinger has just pub­lished his de­but novel. The for­mer Leeds Met Univer­sity lec­turer has turned from the screen to the page for his first work of fic­tion The But­ter­fly Boy. The novel tells the story of Arnie, a young boy, grow­ing up in Nazi Ger­many, who be­comes an in­ter­na­tion­ally suc­cess­ful artist de­spite los­ing the use of his arms to po­lio. A per­cent­age of prof­its from the book will be do­nated to the Bri­tish Po­lio Fel­low­ship and Tony is now work­ing on his sec­ond novel Noah’s Ta­ble.
