Gilliam’s opera to be screened live
THE English National Opera will screen Terry Gilliam’s new production live across cinemas in the region. The former Monty Python star has directed a new version of Berlioz’s rarely seen opera Benvenuto Cellini, shot in stunning multi-camera HD to create a unique cinematic experience for the audience. Michael Spyres stars in the title role, with soprano Corinne Winters as Cellini’s lover.
