THE English National Opera will screen Terry Gilliam’s new production live across cinemas in the region. The former Monty Python star has directed a new version of Berlioz’s rarely seen opera Benvenuto Cellini, shot in stunning multi-camera HD to create a unique cinematic experience for the audience. Michael Spyres stars in the title role, with soprano Corinne Winters as Cellini’s lover.

The Vue in Leeds will screen the event on June 17. For more information on which other cinemas are screening the opera visit: enoscreen.
