Prints by Matisse to go on dis­play

ART by one of the 20th cen­tury’s most in­flu­en­tial artists will go on dis­play in Barns­ley from this week­end. Henri Matisse: Drawing with Scis­sors is a tour­ing ex­hi­bi­tion fea­tur­ing 35 post­hu­mous prints of the fa­mous cut-outs which the artist pro­duced in the last four years of his life, when con­fined to his bed. The show in­cludes many of his iconic images, such as The Snail and The Blue Nudes.

On Fe­bru­ary 20 join York­shire artist Karen Stans­field and cre­ate your own piece of art.
