Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

FIAT is running offers until the end of September on its revamped Punto hatchback.

It is a tough market but in the first seven months Fiat was ahead by 13 per cent. “The B segment is a highly competitive market sector, but we have a car that can take on the best of our rivals,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director for Fiat in Britain.

“We also have some strong offers in place to ensure that customers take a close look at this latest Fiat Punto, and I’m confident they will like what they see,” she said

On Easy, GBT and TwinAir versions there is £1,000 off the list price, plus a Brio pack of high value extra equipment worth £1,090, and the option to take the car under Personal Contract Hire for £129 a month.

The Brio pack includes: Blue&Me infotainment system, rear parking sensors, adaptive cornering foglights, climate control and cruise control.

On 1.2-litre Pop versions there is a £1,400 saving. Prices, before discounts, start at £9,900 for the 1.2 Pop.

The “62” plate is here next week, marking the second busiest month for new car sales, says the SMMT which expects sales exceeding 333,000 units which is worth £4.95bn and 17 per cent of annual sales.

COST CUT: Savings of £1,000 are available on the Punto price.
