Da­cia’s PR comment: “It was tested sev­eral years ago at launch as a three-star car (when the top rat­ing was four stars). All Da­cia Duster mod­els in the UK come with a high level of stan­dard safety equip­ment in­clud­ing front side airbags, plus ABS brakes with emer­gency brake as­sist, driver’s airbag, pas­sen­ger airbag with de­ac­ti­va­tion func­tion, height-ad­justable rear head­rests, 3 x 3-point rear seat­belts and child seat an­chor­age points on outer rear seats.

“Duster’s in­her­ent body de­sign also con­trib­utes to safety with its high driv­ing po­si­tion giv­ing en­hanced vis­i­bil­ity of the road ahead and its height con­tribut­ing to ef­fec­tive oc­cu­pant pro­tec­tion. ESC is also avail­able on diesel ver­sions.”
