HPI checks extended to new sectors
HPI is extending its range of vehicle protection to include construction and agricultural equipment.
Together with Datatag security, HPI is adding the Cesar provenance check to provide an instant online report revealing a machine’s potential “hidden history”.
All that is needed to conduct a check is the machine’s Vehicle Identification Number, registration plate or Cesar mark. Checks can be made any time at the click of a mouse.
Putting the scale of the problem into context, around 4,000 construction and agricultural machines worth more than £150m are stolen every year in the UK; the total cost of equipment theft is up to £650m every year.
One quarter of vehicles checked by HPI are subject to outstanding finance.
