More buyers are looking for luxury

Yorkshire Post - Motoring - - NEWS -

AN INCREASING number of people are searching for luxury cars, executive models and 4x4s according to the online car marketplace www. autotrader.co.uk.

The figures come from more than 466 million searches made between September and November 2013 and suggest an ever more bullish car market.

The biggest profits come from the Porsche Cayenne which makes an average of £5,000 on each model sold. But Auto Trader data also reveals that Cayennes take longer to sell than any other 4x4 – an average of more than 65 days.

“While the rise in 4x4 searches towards the end of the year can be seen as a seasonal phenomenon, the corresponding surge in luxury and executive car searches suggests consumer confidence has returned to the market,” said Auto Trader marketing director Jonathan Williams.
