Sh­effield sets pace for price re­cov­ery

Some in­dices show prices stag­nat­ing, but Fin­daprop­erty,com says that the av­er­age house price in York­shire is now £160,665, 0.5 per cent higher than in May.

Sh­effield is look­ing in­creas­ingly ro­bust. Ask­ing prices in the city now stand at £140,506, an in­crease of 7.8 per cent in the last month and up 2.8 per cent an­nu­ally. Prices in the city are at their high­est level for more than two years.

Stock lev­els in York­shire have jumped by 7.3 per cent in the last month. Nigel Lewis of Fin­daProp­, says: “The re­turn of price growth over the last quar­ter, com­bined with the con­tin­ued level of af­ford­abil­ity, has worked to boost con­fi­dence.”
