Hot prop­er­ties snapped up fast

Some prop­erty will al­ways out­per­form the mar­ket. Dalby Grange in the heart of the Howar­dian Hills went un­der of­fer af­ter one week with a guide price of £1.25m.

Mean­while, Ju­dith Simp­son, of Cundalls in Pick­er­ing, re­ported that a 0.75 acre plot of land in Hut­ton-le-Hole went for al­most dou­ble its guide price at auc­tion.

The grass land, let to the Ryedale Folk Mu­seum for £6,000 a year, sold for £94,000.

Ju­dith says: “There is a 25-year lease on it with 23 years to run.”
