Some property will always outperform the market. Dalby Grange in the heart of the Howardian Hills went under offer after one week with a guide price of £1.25m.
Jennifer Kendrew, of Savills, York, says: “It was a very speedy sale in this current market.”
Meanwhile, Judith Simpson, of Cundalls in Pickering, reported that a 0.75 acre plot of land in Hutton-le-Hole went for almost double its guide price at auction.
The grass land, let to the Ryedale Folk Museum for £6,000 a year, sold for £94,000.
Judith says: “There is a 25-year lease on it with 23 years to run.”
