Region ahead of trend on prices
House prices rose 0.1 per cent last month, though Yorkshire is punching above that with a 0.9 per cent increase.
The data, from the Land Registry House Price Index, shows an average annual price increase of 8.4 per cent, while in Yorkshire, prices have gone up by 5.7 per cent over the last 12 months.
Wales experienced the greatest monthly rise with a movement of 2.9 per cent. The North-East region experienced the most significant monthly price fall of 1.3 per cent.
