Harrogate homes still in demand
A recent survey of recessionbusting towns revealed that Harrogate was one of the best performers.
Tony Wright, partner at Carter Jonas, says: “I can fully understand why Harrogate house prices have remained resilient. People want to live here. One of the key driving factors is the level of schooling available. We have buyers who move from the London rat race to live in Harrogate and work in Leeds just to take advantage of the excellent local educational facilities. Combined with access to the surrounding countryside and all the other main attractions of Harrogate, it keeps the demand for property high.”
