Elevated view raises chance of a sale
A YORKSHIRE photographer is aiming high to help property to sell.
John Bairstow, who runs Elevated Mast Photography in Brighouse, offers to take groundbased aerial views of properties.
The shots are really making a difference when marketing. Clients include Carter Jonas, Savills, Smith Gore, Charnock Bates, King Sturge, Sanderson Weatherall, Robin Jessop, Blenkin & Co and Fine & Country.
John says: “The types of clients vary considerably. I have made links with some of the most formidable UK property agencies since the company’s inception in 2008 and continue to work for them.
“However, it is not just highend properties that can benefit from this type of photography as it has exceptional marketing benefits for vendors with properties that are obscured by boundary fences or trees and those that are difficult to photograph on hillside locations”
While it isn’t possible to say just how much the image representing the property played in the sale, in the majority of instances the first sight of a property that a potential buyer has is a photograph.
John added: “A photograph taken from an elevated perspective adds unquestionable dimension and scale that simply cannot be achieved from the ground.”
One of Elevated Mast Photography’s clients is Hartwood Estates in Barnsley. Allan Finlay, director of the business, says: “A photograph from an elevated perspective creates an extra dimensional view, which successfully communicates so much more about a property to a prospective buyer.”
John established Elevated Mast Photography in 2008, having left a successful career in management. His aim was to bridge the gap in the market between the limitations of agency in-house photography and the expense of commercial photographers with costly studios.
