Lack of action on energy saving
A new YouGov survey undertaken on behalf of the Heating Helpline indicates that the Government has a long way to go to convince homeowners to spend money on energy saving measures.
More than one in five (21 per cent) of homeowners have not taken any such measure in the last two years. A third plan to spend nothing in the coming year and a further 28 per cent will only spend up to £250.
Helpline chief executive Robert Higgs says: “It is clear that although householders are interested in cutting their energy costs, there is a lack of understanding.” Contact www.heatinghelpline.org.uk
