LEEDS-BASED property developer Citu beat a host of competitors including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to win a UK Green Building Council Sustainability Award.

Citu impressed judges with their Greenhouse apartment and office development in Beeston, Leeds.

It’s the 12th award for the partrefurbishment, part-new build of Shaftesbury House, a former hostel in Beeston. The highlyinsulated building boasts a wind turbine, solar panels and ground source heat.

Citu MD, Chris Thompson, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to be receiving recognition for Greenhouse as it’s taken huge commitment, passion and determination.”house
