THE Energy Saving Trust is urging people to keep an eye on the roofs in their street following the recent snowy weather.

Andrew Cooper, Manager of the Energy Saving Trust advice centre for South and West Yorkshire, says: “The snowy weather is a heaven-sent opportunity to check if you or your neighbours’ houses have got effective, or indeed any, loft insulation. Homes with less insulation will see the snow disappear more quickly as heat escapes more easily through the roof.”

Insulation installation is free of charge to some people and for others there are discounted costs of around £99. Contact the Energy Saving Trust on 0800 512 012, www.energysavingtrust.org.uk.
