Rise in number of househunters
THE number of househunters increased last month, according to the National Association of Estate Agents.
Estate agency branches reported an average increase in registered would-be buyers rising from an average 218 in October to 241 in November.
The number of sales per branch remained at seven in November.
However, figures for last month show that the number of people registering to sell a property dropped.
The most likely reasons for this are that the market is approaching the traditional and expected winter slowdown, though it is thought that some sellers are waiting in the hope that prices will rise in Spring.
