Fraud prosecution boom ahead
A YORKSHIRE lawyer says that systematic, large-scale fraud carried out during the property boom is set to come to light next year.
Aziz Rahman believes that the next 12 months will see many more people charged and appearing in court in connection with multi-million pound cases of property-related fraud involving developers, estate agents and private individuals.
West Yorkshire-based Mr Rahman represented property developer Simon Morris, who was investigated for three years by the Serious Fraud Office without any charges being brought.
He is involved in a number of property and mortgage fraud cases, with each one involving millions of pounds.
