THE most expensive street in Britain is Parkside in Wimbledon with prices averaging £5.05m, according to Lloyds TSB.

The research shows that there are no roads in Yorkshire where houses sell for more than £1m on average, though there are many estate agents in the Golden Triangle who would disagree with this.

The most expensive street in Yorkshire, according to the researchers, is Bracken Park, Scarcroft, Leeds, where prices average £871,000.

Close behind are Green Lane (£758,000), Royal Gardens (£741,000) and Cornwall Road (£714,000), all in Harrogate. The biggest concentration of expensive properties is in Kensington and Chelsea.
