Armchair browsers need to get real

LATEST website statistics from Carter Jonas suggest that Monday is the busiest day for house hunting online, while Saturday is the quietest.

Figures conformed to the traditional seasonal pattern with activity levels high in the spring and late summer and searches tailing off towards the end of the autumn. Spikes of interest were scattered across specific days in the latter part of November and early December 2010. The data also showed that Christmas was a popular time for virtuial viewings.

But Tony Wright, partner at Carter Jonas in Yorkshire, says: “Armchair viewing is still no replacement for good, personal, local knowledge and actually setting foot inside a property for sale.”
