£7.7m of prop­erty sold at auc­tion

PRO­CEEDS of over £7.7m were gen­er­ated at the re­cent Ed­dis­ons Prop­erty Auc­tion.

In to­tal, 117 (80 per cent) of the 145 lots which came un­der the ham­mer at the two-day sale in Leeds and Manch­ester sold.

Tony Web­ber of Ed­dis­ons says: ‘This is an ex­tremely strong per­for­mance. In­vestors are clearly at­tracted to prop­er­ties which have sen­si­ble re­serve prices and of­fer good value for money.”

In­ter­est was high in a va­cant semi-de­tached house on Prim­ley Park Lane, Al­wood­ley. The prop­erty, which needed mod­erni­sa­tion, sold for £158,000.

The next auc­tion takes place on May 12 at Leeds United Foot­ball Club, El­land Road, Leeds start­ing at 12.30pm.
