Ilk­ley lodge price drops for auc­tion

A VA­CANT res­i­den­tial prop­erty in Ilk­ley which was pre­vi­ously mar­keted at £245,000 is be­ing of­fered at a re­duced guide price of £180,000 to £200,000 at an auc­tion in Leeds on May 12.

The Old Lodge is a three­bed­room de­tached stone-built res­i­dence on Ash­lands Road, at the en­trance to Ilk­ley ceme­tery and a York­shire Wa­ter waste wa­ter treat­ment works. It is de­scribed as be­ing in need of ren­o­va­tion and mod­erni­sa­tion.

Tony Web­ber of auc­tion­eers Ed­dis­ons said: ‘It is rare for a prop­erty of this kind, in such a sought af­ter area, to be of­fered for sale at auc­tion.”
