In total, 88 (75 per cent) of the 118 lots which came under the hammer at the two day sale in Leeds and Manchester sold.

Tony Webber of Eddisons says: “Cash buyers looking for value for money reacted positively to the realistic guide prices. Many lots attracted competitive bidding which contributed to a strong all round performance.”

Residential stock performed well, including a vacant six bedroom, four storey terrace house on Dragon Road in Harrogate, which sold for £200,000. A vacant three bedroom detached stone built lodge house on Ashlands Road in Ilkley sold for £175,000.
