House de­sign scoops award

BRAMHALL Blenkharn Ar­chi­tects are cel­e­brat­ing af­ter a house de­signed for clients in Scar­bor­ough won a Lo­cal Au­thor­ity Build­ing Con­trol Award for ex­cel­lence.

The prop­erty be­long­ing to Frank and Amanda Robin­son won in the best hous­ing cat­e­gory. The de­sign, at­ten­tion to de­tail and great re­la­tion­ship be­tween the ar­chi­tect and client im­pressed the judges.

Mal­ton-based Bramhall Blenkharn was also highly com­mended for an affordable scheme in Rillington and for a pri­vate house ex­ten­sion near Tad­caster. Be­fore start­ing their prac­tice in 1994, Ric Blenkharn was a part­ner with Ash­field Ar­chi­tects and Mark Bramhall was a pro­ject di­rec­tor with Sir Nor­man Fos­ter and Part­ners.
