Builders in charity challenge
BUILDERS who work for property developer Conroy Brook embarked on the Habitat for Humanity’s annual Hope Challenge.
The ‘Hopalong Harrys’ were Richard Conroy, Andrew Battye, Graham Barber and Gary Lister and they joined 34 other teams trekking 20km and spending the weekend living in shelters they made from scavenged material in a field near Edale, Peak District.
The Hopalongs made a home out of old pallets, tarpaulins and roofing lats.
They raised £4,000 for the charity, which provides shelter for homeless and vulnerable people in third world countries.
