Top-end prop­er­ties beat the record

THE top end of the prop­erty mar­ket has seen ask­ing prices sur­pass a three-and-a-half year high, ac­cord­ing to the lat­est Prime In­dex from prop­erty web­site Prime­Lo­ca­tion.com.

Their in­dex, which tracks prime prop­er­ties (the top quar­ter of UK prop­er­ties by ask­ing price monthly), found the fol­low­ing:

Over the last three years, the av­er­age ask­ing price of a UK prime prop­erty has in­creased by 13 per cent, while ask­ing prices across all prop­er­ties have fallen by 0.2 per cent. Ask­ing prices for prime prop­er­ties in­creased by 1.3 per cent in May.
