A GROWING number of British homeowners are now choosing to move across the Channel permanently, according to Patrick Joseph, of Leeds-based My French House, who specialises in sourcing properties.

As well as a desire to opt out of stressful, corporate life, availability and affordability are two of the key factors.

“When I first started sourcing property for British buyers in 2004 most of my work involved finding second homes and renovation opportunities for investors looking for property in popular holiday destinations that would provide a good rental income over the summer months but there has been a definite shift towards relocation and self-sufficiency in recent years,” says Mr Joseph.
