Developer’s offer to build sports hall
REDROW wants to build 85 new homes off York Road, in Easingwold and says if the local authority reduces the level of affordable housing on the site it will build a new sports hall for the high school.
The developer wants to reduce the affordable element of the build to 25 per cent.
John Grime, managing director of Redrow Homes Yorkshire, says: “We’ve held a number of public consultation events locally and the suggestion that we could boost sports facilities at Easingwold School, both for the benefit of pupils and local residents, proved to be a very popular option.”
Redrow hopes to begin building new homes this autumn and to launch sales in spring 2012.
