LEEDS city living specialists Morgans has reported a a 20 per cent increase in the number of lets agreed in August compared to the previous month.

This also represents a 20 per cent increase on the same period last year.

Jonathan Morgan, managing director of Morgans, says: “In the 14 years we have been trading we have never had such a busy month. Our occupancy figures for the apartments we manage is also at an all time high of 99.5 per cent which shows there is an unprecedented amount of demand out there from tenants for properties located in the city core.”

The National Housebuilding Federation say that home onership could fall from 67 per cent to 63.8 per cent over the next decade.
