Gloomy autumn for housing market
THE Home.co.uk Asking Price Index shows that the average asking price for homes on the market in England and Wales has fallen 0.2 per cent since August.
Figures for Yorkshire reveal a 0.3 per cent drop, while London prices fell by 0.9 per cent over the last month.
Home prices fell in six out of nine English regions during the last month. Typical time on the market has remained essentially unchanged at 120 days, while supply of new properties to market increased slightly to 110,648 in August, but this figure is 11 per cent less than in August 2010.
