Asking prices holding steady
THE mix-adjusted average asking price for homes on the market in England and Wales remains unchanged since October, according to the Home.co.uk Asking price Index.
Home prices fell in seven out of nine of the English regions and in Scotland and Wales, during the last month. Greater London and the South East showed gains.
The typical time on market, according to the HAPI Index is now 128 days, though supply of new properties to the UK market in October was 15 per cent less than in October 2010. Greater London supply was down even further by -21 per cent.
In Yorkshire asking prices have dropped by 1.2 per cent in the last six months compared to a 0.1 per cent national average.
