Former hospital gets a starring role
THE Purey Cust building in York is looking much more as its original architect Walter Brierley intended after recent additions were stripped away by developers YO1 Property and GEM Construction.
In May this year, the former hospital was used as a film set for new six-part ITV series,
Builders continued on the project financed by Santander Corporate banking in July and the first three apartments and three townhouses are due to go on sale in May next year.
Mike Green, of GEM Construction, says: “We have received interest in the property from all around the world, as well as here in the UK. Our relationship with Santander Corporate Banking is helping us achieve our ambition.”
