Auction success for former care home
A former care home has been snapped up at auction for considerably more than its guide price. The Victorian property in Nostell Lane, Ryhill, Wakefield started with a guide of £275,000 and sold for £305,000.
The recent sale by auction house Manning Stainton in West Yorkshire was packed with about 300 people. This led to some strong bidding on a number of properties and 26 out of 38 lots offered were sold.
Auctioneer David Pank said, “There appears to be limitless buyers for properties put up for auction at a good price with buyers ranging from investors, those looking for family homes and first time buyers.”
The next auction is on April 18 at Elland Road, Leeds.
