Sea views with worldwide appeal
YORKSHIRE coast property with sea views continues to excite a rush of cash buyers.
The Lamp House in Whitby, which has views across the harbour, had 25 viewings in the space of a fortnight and was snapped up immediately.
The grade two listed, two bedroom cottage was marketed at offers in excess of £225,000 by Smiths Gore.
Kate Hardwick, of Smiths Gore, says: “Interest in this property came from far and wide. A lot of it was from West Yorkshire but we also had someone from Moscow ask for a viewing and someone from Kuala Lumpur.
“There is a very robust market for well-located property in the prime areas of Sandsend, Whitby and Runswick Bay.”
