Auction sees sale proceeds of £6.8m
EDDISONS reported that 101 of the 144 lots offered at their latest sale in Leeds and Manchester sold, generating proceeds of over £6.8m.
Leeds City Council raised £646,500 from the sale. These included a vacant detached house in the Headingley area of Leeds which sold for £454,000, more than £100,000 over its original guide price. A terraced house off Chapeltown Road in Leeds raised £192,500, despite being in need of complete renovation. The former St Patrick’s Presbytery on New York Road, Leeds, which has been converted to form 16 studio flats and renamed New York Studios, sold for £300,000. It generates £39,720 a year. Eddisons next sale takes place on May 10.
