A BID to bring some of Leeds’ empty homes back into use is underway.

The Leeds Empty Homes project, spearheaded by the Leeds Community Foundation, is starting with a property in South Leeds and wants to raise £45,000 for the renovation work.

The Greenhouse development in Beeston is hosting an Empty Homes event on May 16 led by Channel 4 presenter George Clarke. Organisers are calling for those who can share expertise, offer advice, skills, products, services or investment to go along.

The LCF has already raised £10,000 to kick start the first project. You can register for the event at www.eventbrite.co.uk/ event/2875088467?ref=ebtn or visit www.leedscf.org.uk.
