On the ground floor, there is a sitting room, generous kitchen, utility room and cloakroom and the green oak room. On the first floor, there is a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two further bedrooms and a house bathroom. Outside, there is parking space on the driveway and a large, rear garden overlooking farmland.

The Taylors have already started on another project and are selling the house to fund more work on their new home in Horsforth.

“The green oak extension has made a huge difference to the feel of the property. It’s a lovely, natural feel,” says Jonathan, who adds: “One of the other benefits is that the oak also smells really nice.”

Before, the back of the house before is bog-standard. After, the stunning green oak extension has created a contemporary look.
