Flats per­fect for Compo and Clegg?

HOLMFIRTH prop­erty de­vel­oper Con­roy Brook has sub­mit­ted a plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tion to Kirklees Coun­cil for a new re­tire­ment com­plex on the brown­field Prick­le­den Mill site in the

town. The ap­pli­ca­tion is for 46 apart­ments for the over-55s, com­plete with com­mu­nity fa­cil­i­ties, gar­dens and re­stored mill dam. There will be a res­i­dents’ pav­il­ion, house man­ager, guest bed­rooms, and an area set aside for the res­i­dents to do their own gar­den­ing.

The plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tion for this de­vel­op­ment is said to have been sub­mit­ted fol­low­ing ex­ten­sive con­sul­ta­tion with the coun­cil and the public and a decision on the final de­sign is ex­pected by this sum­mer.
