Robin Hood es­tate at­tracts in­ter­est

THE York­shire es­tate where Robin Hood is re­put­edly buried is for sale for the first time in al­most 450 years and is at­tract­ing buyer in­ter­est.

The Kirklees Es­tate, for sale through Strutt & Parker at of­fers in ex­cess of £7m, is a res­i­den­tial and agri­cul­tural es­tate with his­toric con­nec­tions and ex­cit­ing de­vel­op­ment po­ten­tial.

The es­tate in­cludes a prin­ci­pal house, two tra­di­tional farm­houses, a farm man­ager’s house and other res­i­den­tial prop­er­ties. It also fea­tures the build­ings of Kirklees Pri­ory, which have more re­cently been used for agri­cul­ture but have ex­cel­lent res­i­den­tial de­vel­op­ment po­ten­tial, sub­ject to plan­ning.
