Good news for new home sales
PERSIMMON says its Yorkshire house sales have been strong in the first six months of the year.
Wayne Gradwell, managing director Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, says the company made an excellent start to 2012 with underlying pre-tax profit for the group up 65 per cent on last year at £98.7m and legal completions in the UK up six per cent to 4,712.
“Although the market remains constrained, the start to the year has been extremely promising, with weekly private sales reservations up 18 per cent. In the coming weeks and months we will open new developments in Hipperholme and Garforth and have already welcomed hundreds of visitors to our new show homes in Wath-upon-Dearne, Bradford and Yeadon.”
