Looking on the brighter side

Yorkshire Post - Property - - PROPERTY -

THERE’S a North-South divide in house price sentiment, although Yorkshire is looking on the bright side.

The latest Knight Frank Markit survey shows that London remains the only region where households felt the value of their home rose over the past month.

Overall, around 28 per cent of households anticipate a rise in the value of their home over the next 12 months, compared with 24 per cent expecting a decline.

Those living in the North-West reported seeing the deepest declines. The only exceptions to those expecting house price falls in the North were households in Yorkshire and Scotland. Knight Frank say the survey suggests the housing market is at its weakest in six months.
