York­shire land­lords top the ta­ble

LAND­LORDS in York­shire top the UK’s rental yield league ta­ble, achiev­ing an av­er­age yield of 6.8 per cent.

In­de­pen­dent re­search com­mis­sioned by Paragon Mort­gages re­vealed that York­shire land­lords reigned supreme in the sec­ond quar­ter of this year, hav­ing moved up the league from eighth place in Q1.

The re­gional spread at the top of the ta­ble is di­verse, with land­lords in Wales mov­ing from sixth po­si­tion to sec­ond, and from a yield of 6 per cent to 6.7 per cent.

How­ever, land­lords in the South­West have stayed put, stay­ing in third place with an av­er­age yield of 6.2 per cent. The av­er­age yield achieved by all land­lords re­mained at 6.2 per cent.
