Average home values rise
THE value of the average home in Britain has risen by £3,373 (1.5 per cent) over the last year, according to new data from property portal Zoopla.
The average home value across the country now stands at £226,369
The increase in property values over the past year was seen in all but three regions of Britain. Yorkshire is among those who saw a small decline, of 0.5 per cent. The North West was down 2.5 per cent and Wales 1.4 per cent.
Property prices in London have continued to rise at a far faster pace. The average home value in the capital rose by £30,259 or 7.3 per cent, while the South East saw a 3.4 per cent increase in average values.
