Ministers urged to deliver on building

Yorkshire Post - Property - - PROPERTY -

THE time has come for the Government to deliver on its housebuilding initiatives with Yorkshire construction levels continuing to fall in the three months to September, says the latest RICS Construction Market Survey.

Levels of both public and private housebuilding continued to drop in the region during the last quarter, as pressure mounts on the Government to ensure demand is met. A net balance of 21 per cent more chartered surveyors reported decreases in public sector housing workloads, while four per cent more respondents said private sector projects had also fallen rather than risen. Meanwhile, overall construction workloads across Yorkshire dipped once again.
