Former halls to be turned into homes
BARRATT Yorkshire West has secured a major development site in Adel, with a gross sales value estimated to be £62m.
The housebuilder has acquired the first phase of land on the old Bodington Hall site, previously owned by the University of Leeds as halls of residence.
The first phase of the new site will include 106 properties.
Barratt Yorkshire West technical director Dave Hudson says: “We are delighted to have secured this high-profile project in Leeds.
“Our Yorkshire portfolio is expanding fast with 14 new schemes in the pipeline for 2013 that will provide 1,700 muchneeded new homes and underpin thousands of jobs across the region.”
